Custom Shirts

I created this sweet shirt for my sister, Brea.  I adore her.  She recently sold her a.m.a.z.i.n.g. children’s consignment sale to start a new journey in life.  She now works for an amazing Children’s Clothing Company, Matilda Jane Clothing.  She is a trunkkeeper and is ROCKIN’ it.  I wanted her to have a custom shirt to sport her first week of kick-off.  I saw a picture of her wearing it and it looked adorable!

So proud of you sister!  Love you!

The MOM to the 2nd power shirt and keyfob headed to Jennifer T. in TN.  I hope you love it Jennifer and sorry for the bad lighting of the picture.  Classic case of a quick pic just to ship!

My sweet niece, Mary Elizabeth, turned 4 last Sunday.  She needed a custom shirt from Aunt Alie.  Mary is so fun, funky, and spunky.  I love her truly and couldn’t imagine Brea’s family without her in it.  She also happens to be my Maggie’s BF.  Maggie adores her.  period.  If you are around sweet Mary for longer than a minute, you will understand.  She is awesome with a capital A.  Love you Mary!  Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!

And last but not least…A sweet number 4 shirt for my own Maggie Moo.  She LOVES blue.  Period.  If anything in her drawers is clean and it is blue, that is what she wears.  She colors in blue.  She wants a blue cup.  She eats on blue plates, with blue utensils, and loves blue balloons.  You get the idea.  I love this sweet shirt.  I still can’t believe my baby is 4.  Where has time gone?!

It has been super busy around the Harris Home here lately.  I have been thinking a lot lately of updating this blog with not just sewing goodies, but more of my personal family life as well.  I am getting way behind on blogging on my other blog, so I am going to give this a whirl.  Sorry if it is too much information for you!  🙂

Baden is growing and doing well.  He is still measuring BIG so I am not sure what that will mean for my current April 28th C-Section date!  We shall see.  I am going to the dr. and ultrasound people every week, so they are all over it.

{that is his profile with one of his hands at his mouth.  The other two dots above his head are his feet…how the boy is comfortable, I do not understand}

Maggie Moo is getting so big.  She loves to play with all of her toys and just enjoys being at home.  I love target, she loves home.  We differ to say the least.  She loves to just stay in PJ’s all day and watch some Sprout and chill.  I love her truly.  She got a haircut last Thursday and I adore her new style.  She is so funny when she gets her haircut.  She just sits very still and makes funny faces at herself the whole time (and at our awesome hairdresser, Nicki!).  She loves the shorter look because it means less blow dry time after bath.

{Mrs. Nicki gave Maggie bunny ears with the clippies…She loved it}

{The length is coming off!}

{the after…notice Bunny was right there with her for the whole experience…I quite adore her and that silly bunny}

I have been crafting at my own rate.  This weekend I was able to accomplish quite a bit and it made me feel so good!

This keyfob headed to Amy S. in White House, TN.  I love the colors!  So springy!

The next two MOM shirts were ordered by Ann R. in Greenbrier, TN.  She ordered one for herself and one for her best friend.  I love that!  They both turned out so sweet!  Ann loved this dot fabric and they look super cute with the gray shirt behind them.

Thank you so much Ann for your orders and support!  I look forward to creating more for you in the future!

More orders to come…Have a great Tuesday and Happy March!

This sweet shirt has already headed to Sandra in Georgia.  She loves Tennessee and wanted to have an awesome shirt to wear for the upcoming football season.  I love that she picked everything out and just let me roll with the design.  She also wanted a small version of the state of TN on the back upper portion of the shirt.

Sandra, thank you so much for your order!  I hope you love the shirt!

This might be one of the hardest postings I have ever had to do on this blog.

These pictures have been in my camera for over a month, I just knew the words to this posting were going to be so hard…I have been avoiding it at all costs.  But, it is time.

These three shirts are very dear to my heart.  They are for three very special women in my life.  Katie is a teacher at my school and teaches the cutest bunch of Kindergarteners I have ever seen.  She is amazing at what she does…and if you have a Kindergarten child, you need to shower your child’s teacher with love everyday.  They work their fannies off!  Katie has two sisters, Cassie and Carrie.  Their mom is Mrs. Venable.

Mrs. Sandy Venable is a retired Kindergarten teacher from Sumner County that taught and touched lives for over 30 years.  Mrs. Sandy has loved the “girls” at WFE for quite some time now.  I, personally, adore Mrs. Venable because she has a love for all things JUNK…She loves to go junkin’, antique mallin’, and flea marketin’.  That is my kind of Momma.
Over the summer, I got word from Katie that Mominor (that is what Mrs. Venable’s grandchildren call her and like everyone calls my Mom, JuJu…it just stuck!) had Breast Cancer.  We were all devistated.  Those two words are nothing but dangerous to hear.  They can do no good and attack even the strongest of women.  Mominor had a double mastectomy on August 3rd and has been in hospital re-hab care ever since.  She was deemed to have Stage 2 Breast Cancer and plans to make a full recovery.

I had told Katie that I wanted to make some shirts for her family to wear to show support when Mrs. Venable came out of surgery.  Apparently, they were a huge hit and the sisters are planning to wear them often.

Katie has always been an extremly special person to me.  I knew when I met her at school that we were meant to be friends.  Together with the rest of my faculty and friends, we will be walking in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer walk in Brentwood, TN on October 9.  Mominor will rise above this.  She just will.  She is stronger than it, loves the Lord to much not to, and has so many wonderful people that love and bless her.

I thought the sisters would love a matching Keyfob to go with their new shirts!

…me & Katie…

Shelby contacted me a while ago and asked if I would be interested in creating not one, but two birthday shirts for her sweet twin sons, Connor and Clayton.  She also sent me a link to a party pack that she had ordered off of Etsy and wanted the shirts to coordinate with the favors.  Look how adorable this party pack is from seller PartiesByHardie on Etsy.

Printable Ocean Party
Both of Shelby’s twins are turning 1 {one} and what a special, special day this will be.  They will be celebrating this Saturday (what a great day to celebrate!!!  that’s my birthday too!) and the boys will be looking super cute.
…Clayton the Turtle…

…Connor the Shark…

…Connor the shark and Clayton the turtle…

Thank you so much Shelby for your orders!
You were awesome to work with and God Bless those sweet boys and their wonderful first year of life!

This sweet shirt went to a little birthday boy named Miles in Jackson, TN.

Miles’s beautiful Mommy happens to be one of my sister’s childhood best friends so when she contacted to create a very special shirt for her son, I was super thrilled and honored.  Miles apparently had a great birthday party and the shirt was well loved.

Thank you so much Jennifer!  I am so glad I was apart of Miles’s special day through a custom shirt!

I love this next shirt.  Sunny ordered this for a friend and actually had me ship it straight to the little man that is a Big Bro now (all the way in CA!!!)!  She gave me freedom of fabrics and I just loved the way these dots came off the shirt.  The letters are all handcut and look to sweet on this little bitty shirt (3T).

Thank you so much Sunny.  I hope that the new Big Bro LOVES it!
