Are you ready for some sweet goodness??
Meet Lyndsey from Cards by Clemy.
Lyndsey is a beautiful, young, amazing woman that is so unbelievably crafty. How do I know this about her…She is one of my very best friends! Lyndsey and I met when she was assigned to be my Student Teacher. I knew she was a cool girl when I told her I like to make clothes for my daughter and she thought that was pretty awesome! Little did I know later, that she would help me so much with ideas, staying positive, and be the reason behind so many of my crafts. She was the reason the lanyards ever came along, the keyfobs are in existence, and that my fabrics are half as organized as they are. I love and adore that I was with her when she purchased her first sewing machine and watching her create makes my heart do flips.
She makes the most precious custom greeting cards for any occasion. {did I mention they are priced so reasonably?} I haven’t bought a store greeting card since Lyndsey created her first card. Her cards are so precious and I love to send a sweet card. I truly hope that people will continue to send cards to one another. I know with all the technology now days it is just “easier” but I love nothing more than a card with someone’s writing telling me how they are and encouraging me. That love has always come from my Granny.
Lyndsey is one of my biggest fans and I am so happy to return the feeling!
She was sweet enough to create a special birthday banner for a very special little girl’s (my maggie moo) 3rd birthday party this weekend. I. Am. In. Love. This banner is for sure going to be the highlight of her party. It is so verstile that we will for sure use this year after year. It is created on tough card stock and bound with ribbon. So precious!
…Lyndsey with my daughter, Maggie Moo…

I love birthdays, they are always fun except for the getting older part! I LOVED my last birthday, when you, Brea and Daddy surprised me with a great dinner with friends at Panturo’s. Great family, friends, and food. Fun times!

I shared one of my favorites at lunch today when Allie brought it up but I thought of one even more special. For my 16th birthday, I was given a beautiful diamond solitare from my adoring Grandparents. Of course, I was excited. But when I heard the story behind the ring, it made this unexpected and fantastic gift even more valuable. You see, my Grandfather purchased the diamond a few days after I was born and had kept it in his safe until it was time to mount it and gift it for my Sweet 16! When it came time for the little sister, Cassie to turn 16, she too was given the same gift as my older sister and I were. He had done this for all three of his granddaughters. Isn’t that sweet?

And then the other story…when I turned 4, I got the cassette tape of Michael Jackson’s BAD album. We have a video of me doing the running man at my party…yeah, I still got the moves!

My favorite memory would have to be my 18th birthday…It was my frist offical day as a college student and I also accepted a bid to Chi Omega Fraternity…where I became a sister to many wonderful women…I gained many new friends and many new memories all on my 18th birthday! 🙂

My best birthday memory is all the cakes my mom made for me! They were always so special. My favorite was when she used straws, ribbon, and animal crackers to make me a carousel!
July 21, 2010 at 9:20 pm
My favorite birthday memory is going to see the Nutcracker with 5 of my closest friends when I turned 13.
July 21, 2010 at 9:24 pm
Hmmm. I have so many fun memories! Can I pick more than one? If so here they are…13th got lots of special gifts and jewelry, 16th my rents bought me a car!!!, my 18th I got diamond earrings and a diamond necklace, 21st I got the coolest gift from my rents and grandma (it is a ring that has my moms engagement diamond from my dad, my grandmas wedding diamond from my gpa, some diamonds from my ring that I got when I was 13 and some diamonds from my great aunts), 25th my hubby bought me an addition to my wedding set! Geez, Im a lucky girl with all the bling…he he he. Most important of all though is that when I wear the bling, I think of my family and how special they are to me!

Love your cards! My favorite memory is when my mom got me a lemon pie instead of a birthday cake, even though everyone thought it was wierd, just because I loved it.

One of my favorite bday memories was my 8th birthday. When I was in 2nd grade I was OBSESSSED with some very special babies that needed a home, they are better known as Cabbage Patch Kids. My mom planned a trip for us to go down to Cleveland, GA to the Cabbage Patch Kid General Hospital…yes, there was really such a thing! We had finally gotten a new car that had a tape player in it and we jammed to some Stevie Wonder the whole way there. We drove for what seemed like forever to an 8 year old, but when we got there it was MAGIC!!! There was a little cabbage patch in the middle of the hospital, music was playing, and upon the hour a clock chimed and CABBAGE PATCH KID BABIES POPPED OUT OF THE GROUND!!! For reals! There was a nursery and a little shop to buy clothes for your baby- it was all too special for words. I didn’t have a huge party or all my friends around me, but I will never forget that birthday. I am currently planning my daughter’s first birthday, and I just got her a little Cabbage Patch baby of her own. 🙂

My favorite birthdays are when I was younger and had sleepovers. We would play games, tell scary stories, and stay up all night. Those were the best. I had several of them so I can’t name just one. Another would be my daughter’s birthday. Every year it is a joy to plan parties for her and to share the excitement with her. We are about to have her 7th in a couple of weeks.
July 21, 2010 at 9:56 pm
amd I have another…however, I’m not sure this would go under the ‘fav’ list but it most def goes under the ‘memorable’ one…in first grade, I was allowed to have my very first sleep over. All of my friends showered me with gifts and had a blast. When it was time to go to bed, a weird girl in my class (my mom MADE me invite her) name Courtney Tesssler, told me she had something special to share with our friends. She pulled out a ring box and opened it. You’ll never believe what she had stored in that tiny box…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….her mother’s toenail clippings! From then on, I was scared. End of story.
